XY Adjustable Fiber Adapter
The XY adapter is designed to direct radiation from a monochromator into an optical fiber. It contains no optical elements. It ensures the end of the optical fiber is positioned as close as possible to the spectral slit blades and allows manual XY adjustment of the fiber end to maximize the optical signal. Compatible with monochromators model M140, M300, M500, and M700.
The XY adapter can also be attached to the entrance slit of any of the listed monochromators to direct radiation from an optical fiber into the monochromator, with no order-sorting filter wheel. When using this input method, it should be noted that the output aperture of standard multimode fibers, NA 0.22, is significantly larger than the typical input apertures of monochromators, F# 1/3.6 ... 1/9. This can lead to a reduction in overall transmission and an increase in stray light within the system. Contact our specialists to select the optimal aperture matching devices.
